Map the Fort with the Colonial Surveyor

Do you "measure up?"

Did you know that George Washington’s first job was as a surveyor? Learn the art and science of surveying the land in the 18th century manner with our visiting colonial surveyor. This special opportunity offers YOU the chance to “apprentice” with him to measure and map the Fort interior (11 am) or the “Wilderness” of the High Battery (1 pm.) All supplies and materials provided. Activity suitable for ages 10 and up.

Your ticket includes admission to the Fort for the day (10 am – 4 pm) and participation in the activity time that you select. A limited number of discounted of ALL ACCESS tickets are available that include both activities.

** You must purchase a special ticket to participate in this activity. Participation is limited to assure social distancing. Purchase in advance because we cannot guarantee availability on the day of the event.
