Welsh Tract Day

Part of Philadelphia Welsh Week!

Fort Mifflin partners with the Welsh Society of Philadelphia and the North American Festival of Wales for a unique new event to kick of Philadelphia’s “Welsh Week”! This jovial experience takes a dive into the history behind the Welsh influence on the creation of the United States of America, the history of an area of Pennsylvania known as “The Welsh Tract”, and of course the culture of Wales itself.

Sample Welsh food, learn about Welsh culture, and even learn some of the Welsh Language. You also won’t want to miss a visit from a very special guest known as the Mari Lwyd, a folk character from Wales. More details to come- Cymru am byth!
