Photography Day!
Take your best shots at Fort Mifflin!
Take your best shot in the unique natural environment of Fort Mifflin. From the walls to the moat, the High Battery and the Delaware River beach, photographers are sure to enjoy and be challenged by the creative potential of the Fort.
Capture the “Golden Hour” and unique sunset over the west wall. Enjoy the 18th century atmosphere, experience history, or perhaps experience our unseen residents.
Flintlock Imaging will be on hand to provide guidance and suggestions to
photographers. Beginning ½ hour after the start of the event, they will lead a group to the seldom seen High Battery, and you will have the rare opportunity to photograph this abandoned area of the fort.
Be sure to stay after dark when you’ll have a chance to shoot an exciting light effects demonstration from Flintlock.
Although this event is geared toward photographers, everyone is welcome.
Nonphotographers can purchase tickets which afford unguided access to the grounds before, during and after sunset.
All attendees should bring sturdy footwear, and a flashlight. Photographers should also bring their tripods. We will also have a very limited number of tripods available for loan.
Tickets are $40 for photographers and $20 for spectators.
See you soon!
