Have a BLAST when you rent Fort Mifflin for your special event!  Fort Mifflin is one of the most unique spaces in Philadelphia and has played host to a variety of private events and programs, including weddings, corporate events, charity fundraisers, and many more.  Fort Mifflin is well-suited for corporate, team-building or social events with many indoor and outdoor spaces that allow you to create a memorable experience for your guests.

Make your event historic with cannon blasts, interpretive guides in period attire, weapons demonstrations, ghost tours and more. We are happy to work with you to handle all the details to assure a “historic” day for you and your guests.

The Fort features a diverse array of indoor and outdoor spaces to suite your needs.  Casemates (bombproof shelters) can be transformed into a wine cellar or Speakeasy-style space.  Other rental options available during regular operating hours include use of the Hospital Building for meetings or private functions and use of the Picnic Area for your group.  Many working fire places. Riverfront picnic area.

Rates begin at $1,500 for after-hours rental of the site.

Birthday Parties

Want to give your child a Birthday Party he or she will never forget?  What better place than a Revolutionary War fortress?  Fort Mifflin offers a unique selection of party themes!

General:

Available anytime during regular public hours (10 AM-4 PM), including Monday and Tuesday.

Includes the following:

Choice of party theme:

  • Revolutionary War: become part of the garrison of the Fort that Saved America
  • Civil War: have your party in a real Civil War prison
  • Pirate (P-AAARRGH-TY): bring your mates for a swashbuckling good time

A tour guide dressed in your selected theme will lead a guided tour for your party group, exploring the Fort’s 183 year history.

Use of a Party Room (choice of the Hospital or the Bake Oven) for 2.5 hours (plus 1 hour for set up/clean up)

A small gift for the lucky boy/girl OR a $10 for the Fort Mifflin Gift Shop

End your party with a bang with a cannon demonstration.

Cost: $10 per person, $250 minimum charge

Ghost-themed BOO-thday Party

Available during public hours or evenings (schedule permitting), concluding no later than 8:30.

Includes the following:

Guided ghost themed tour

Use of a Party Room (choice of the Hospital or the Bake Oven) for 2.5 hours (plus 1 hour for set up/clean up)

$10 for the Fort Mifflin Gift Shop

End your party with a bang with a cannon demonstration.

Cost: $15 per person, $375 minimum charge
